This past December, with New England snow coming soon, it came to our attention that we had enough ice dam water damage from the winter before to open a claim with our insurance company.   No excuses as to why we didn’t get to it over the summer, we simply didn’t stop what we were doing in our lives to give it seriously consideration.

With my husband traveling more at this time for business, I really had not wanted to be bothered with a house project, but agreed it really needed to be done and that I could handle it.

Before he flew out after Thanksgiving, he made some calls and found only one roofer who was willing to fix our roof so late in the season.

Rather than wait for our insurance claims adjuster to get on board, we also decided to pay for the south roof which was most damaged with our own money and be reimbursed later.
