This is a checklist for educational leaders and parents.

Just for the fun of it, let’s see what Google has to say.

Here are two sets of tips on how to TurnAround problematic behaviors in the classroom and/or home.

Google’s 5 TurnAround Tips:
-Model the behavior you want to see.  (takes more than 30 seconds)
-Be consistent with your expectations. (takes more than 30 seconds)
-Be clear and concise when communicating rules. (takes 30 seconds or less)
-Offer rewards for good behavior. (go buy rewards: takes more than 30 seconds)
-Provide consequences for bad behavior. (takes more than 30 seconds)

Now for my 5-30 Second TurnAround Tips from Make A Difference with the Power of Connection:
-Connect with compassion first. (takes 30 seconds or less)
-See with NEW eyes of understanding. (takes 30 seconds or less)
-Give away what you want. (takes 30 seconds or less)
-Relabel the child (takes 30 seconds or less)
-Fill empty cups with emotionally available attention. (takes 30 seconds or less)
