RESEARCH IN FAMILY DYNAMICS AND dysfunction indicates that the largest contributing factor to illness, disease and addiction is the result of a loss of self.

Today, female and male roles are being redefined. Relationships are becoming more autonomous, with an emphasis on interdependency. This means we can no longer be obsessed about the people in our lives and remain healthy. It means that we must find our own expression in life, and not be dependent on someone else to provide this for us.

What is your dream? What is your specialty? Everyone has one and so do you. What do you do if you realize you don’t have one yet? Get involved in your community, church, or service organizations. Network and build yourself a support system that extends beyond – yet can also include – your immediate family. The planet needs your participation. Your family needs you to be happy and fulfilled, not immersed in their lives. Healthy families breathe easily and support interdependence.
