When a child (or anyone for that matter) needs your attention, they are reaching for the energy of you to connect with them.

Today, I want to talk about a concept that has the potential to change lives and create meaningful connections – the power of attention.

As Richard Moss wisely said, “The greatest gift you can give another is the purity of your attention.” But let me tell you, it goes beyond just acknowledging someone’s presence; it’s about harnessing the energy within that connection.

We often underestimate the transformative effect that true attention can have.

It has the power to bring about positive behavioral changes in an instant. Whether it be at home or in the classroom, how we choose to give our attention can make all the difference in how children thrive.

When we consistently offer attention in a compassionate and affirming manner, it becomes a conscious act that can bring deep healing and growth to a child’s life.

To truly connect with others, we must be emotionally available and willing to slow down. This alignment of energies generates long-term solutions and fosters harmony, not only with children but with individuals of all ages.
