Dear Difference Maker,

I’ve been really examining how people treat each other in this society lately not only because it’s been my life’s work, but because I’ve just gone through something myself that I found quite startling.

Startling from the stand point that there are still some women at the top of their game who have not acquired the skill of being much more mindful about what they are saying to their protégés than they are.

Understand, that what I’ve just experienced the past week has nothing to do with getting my feelings hurt and everything to do with old worn out snarky condescending ways a certain percentage of the population deems themselves entitled to treat their fellow man and/or woman. It is disconcerting to me at this stage of my life that it is still so incredibly prevalent in our society by both women and men.
