Ask.

ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT AND NEED. Get in touch with what it is you really want. Don’t expect other people to read your mind. Take responsibility and ask for what you need from people.

You don’t have to be demanding, nor does one person have to give you exactly what you desire. Put your request out there for people to hear and to see. Keeping it a secret guarantees that it will not happen.

Ask, ask, and ask again. Ask to be heard when you’re asking. Ask to know what’s going on for someone who chooses not to give you what you feel you need.

Learn to take some risks so you can understand how you are interacting with those whom you feel refuse your requests in some way.

Ask yourself, “Have I been clear with them about what it is I need? Have I given them the complete picture? Have I made it a guessing game? Have I come off as demanding? Did I get angry with them when I thought they were refusing me instead of the request I was making? Were they supposed to read my mind?”

One of the great keys to joy and happiness
and results in life is to develop the ability
to ask for what you want in such a manner
that people are delighted to give it to you.
